Brooklyn's Holy Ghost! Are a duo born of DFA-produced outfit Automato. Their debut 12" containted three different versions of disco pop nugget 'Hold On', which forms a hybrid of trad '70s American disco and more synth-heavy Italo shapes. Influenced by everyone from Yacht-rocker Michael McDonald, the Talking Heads and Kraftwerk, Hold On’s incendiary beats have been a fixture in clubs. These guys are not to be missed.
