A pioneer bass music DJ in the Vancouver dance music scene, for over a decade now DJ Soda has been instrumental in the construction of the music’s rise to prominence on the West Coast.

Back in 2001, Soda founded TwentyHz Music - a breakbeat focused Promotions Company and record label. His TwentyHz events series produced numerous shows from 2001-2006, introducing Vancouver to artists such as Tipper, Bassnectar, Adam Freeland and the Stanton Warriors.

As a record label, TwentyHz Music was represented by many of the top DJs from around the world and received regular rave reviews from the dance music press. The now defunct label was the home to DJ Wood, Jimmy Towers (aka Andy Clockwork), Wicked Lester, Marlin and a duo known as Karma which was comprised of Soda alongside Vancouver top jock, Matty C (aka Pacific).

As a DJ, Soda is a member of the Automatic crew - one of the original drum-n-bass promoters in Canada. He has been featured on the bills of Canada’s top festivals including the Shambhala, Soundwave and WEMF and has played throughout North America and across Europe.
